Last weekend we hosted our third OffshoreWind4Kids offshore wind demo day, this time in Oslo, giving children and their families the opportunity to build and install their own wind turbine. The fun and interactive sessions encourage education in science, technology, engineering and maths (STEM), whilst showcasing the possibilities in offshore wind energy. Thank you to our team of Seaway7 volunteers: Johanne Tomine Vartdal, Thomas Sammut and SĆ„mund Li, who did a fantastic job of teaching and inspiring the children. This followed sessions held earlier this year in the UK and the Netherlands with around 100 children and their families taking part in total. The partnership was driven by our Organisation Development team led by Lynette Burns. At the helm of the events was our OD coordinator Paige Quirie who said: āWe are proud to play a role in inspiring budding innovators and helping them discover a passion for science, technology, engineering and maths". We will have more exciting things to come from our partnership next year! https://lnkd.in/eiPUiGK9 #passiontomakeadiffernce #futureinnovators #thisisourway
